Thomas Bachman ’52 said that he learned some great lessons while being "Table Manager" at the Kappa Sigma house during his senior year at Georgia Tech. "My goal was to do my job as efficiently as possible, in spite of the normal complaints and the difficulties that were associated with the job," he said.

Thomas added that the role even played a large role in his professional success. "It gave me the confidence that would prove very helpful in my job as an industrial engineer for Western Electric," he said. "As an aside, I do remember one particular meal that all the brothers raved about and wanted again, until we found out a few weeks later that the 'meatloaf' they were so crazy about was actually made with horse meat," he said.
