Clark Jacobs ’17 Recovers From Serious Fall

On January 10, 2015, one of our undergraduates suffered a traumatic accident. While sleeping in his loft bed, Clark Jacobs ’17 fell out of bed and fractured his skull. His traumatic brain injury required emergency surgery.

Team Clark has established a CaringBridge site where friends and family can monitor Clark’s progress. They recently communicated that Clark has been showing great progress — saying his first words and smiling for the first time since his initial brain surgery. He will also have his trach removed this week so he can return to eating solid food. A benefit is being planned for Saturday, May 9, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Harrison Tennis Center in Marietta. If you cannot attend and would like to make a contribution to assist with Clark’s continuing therapy, go to http://www.gofundme.com/teamclark. The brothers of Kappa Sigma at Georgia Tech wish Clark all the best in his recovery.
