David graduated from Georgia Tech in 2014 and is now an android developer for Big Nerd Ranch. We caught up with him to discuss technology and his experiences at Kappa Sig!

Give some insight on your work at the Big Nerd Ranch. What kinds of things are you working on?
Big Nerd Ranch is involved in a few different fronts - textbooks, training and mobile/web app consulting. As an Android developer, I’ve primarily gotten involved in Android app development and am working towards teaching my first Android course.

What are your thoughts on the future of technology and app development? Mobile application development is both the future and the present of computing, and I’m happy to be at the forefront of this ever-changing field.

What are your fondest memories of being a brother of Kappa Sig at GT?
My fondest memories of being a brother of Kappa Sig center around all of the personal growth I saw in my brothers and myself during my five years at Georgia Tech. It was a profoundly rewarding experience, and I’m proud to call all of the men in the chapter Brothers.

Did you serve in any officer positions at Kappa Sig?
During my time in the house, I became involved in the rush process and served as Rush Chair in 2011.

If you could go back and relive one Kappa Sig moment, what would it be?
If I could relive any Kappa Sig moment, it would have to be any of the formals we went on, especially New Orleans.

Tell us a little bit about your life and interests.
I’m currently living in Atlanta and loving it. I’m looking forward to getting outside more as it warms up; there’s so much to do here.

Last question: iPhone or Android?
Android all the way.
